Sunglasses Wholesale
Sunglasses are one of the busiest product lines in our factory, especially before summer. Many customers think sunglasses are “trend-driven” products, but from a manufacturer’s point of view, sunglasses are actually a combination of polishing quality, lens accuracy, coating consistency, and small production habits. Below is the real situation inside our Wenzhou factory—not slogans, just daily work.

Why Sunglasses Production Fits Wenzhou Factories
Wenzhou has a complete eyewear supply chain. This makes sunglasses production much smoother than in other regions. Lens suppliers, polishing workshops, coating factories, all are within short distance. If one batch’s lens color coating is off by a little, we can send it back the same day. That’s why many buyers choose factories in our area.

Types of Sunglasses We Make
Over the years, we’ve built up molds and production experience for many kinds of sunglasses:
- classic fashion sunglasses
- polarized sunglasses
- UV400 sunglasses
- mirror-coated sunglasses
- sport-style sunglasses
- kids’ sunglasses
- TR90 sunglasses
- metal sunglasses
Some customers like large frames. Some prefer thin frames. Some want very trendy designs that require extra mold polishing. We can handle all these requests as long as details are clear.

Polarized & UV400 Lenses — Real Differences
We often get questions about UV400 and polarized lenses. Here’s how we explain it to customers who visit our factory:
- UV400: protects eyes from UV rays. Testing is consistent.
- Polarized: reduces glare. Testing requires specific machines.
The difficulty with polarized lenses is not the lens itself, but how stable each batch is. Sometimes color tone changes slightly depending on weather and coating condition. This is normal and all factories deal with it. Our QC has a habit of checking the first 50 pcs of every batch before allowing full assembly.
Polishing — The Real Work Behind Beautiful Sunglasses
Sunglasses polishing is more complicated than polished reading glasses. Big frames require longer polishing time; transparent frames require cleaner wheels; and black-gloss frames require more rounds. Workers often comment things like:
“This frame is simple, but polishing is not simple.”
They are right. A frame that looks smooth on the product photo actually takes many rounds of polishing in real life.

Lens Coating — Weather Affects Everything
Lens coating depends heavily on humidity and temperature. If it’s too cold, drying slows down. If it’s too humid, coating may look uneven. Our workers sometimes joke about the weather because their work is literally affected by it.
When a batch comes back from the coating factory, our QC checks:
- color consistency
- coating thickness
- surface defects
- mirror effect if required
If issues appear, we return it immediately. This quick cycle is one reason many overseas buyers prefer Wenzhou.
Frame Materials We Commonly Use
The most common materials for sunglasses frames include:
- PC
- AC
- TR90
- metal
- mixed-material frames
TR90 models are especially popular because they are light and flexible. But TR90 also means polishing workers must be more careful, otherwise frame edges show tiny white marks. We reduce this problem by adjusting polishing time and wheel softness.

How We Control Sunglasses Production
Here is how a typical sunglasses order goes through the factory:
- receive order + confirm lens type
- prepare frames
- receive lenses from supplier
- QC checks first 50 pcs
- assembly begins
- final polishing & cleaning
- full QC check
- packing
The process looks simple on paper, but every step includes small operations only experienced workers know. Real factories work like this—not with slogans, but with repeated tasks done carefully every day.

Packing Method for Sunglasses
Sunglasses need more careful packing than reading glasses. We usually pack:
- single polybag
- cleaning cloth if required
- branding card
- inner box (optional)
- master carton with fixed quantity
Mirror-coated lenses require special handling to avoid scratches during packing. QC checks them again before sealing the carton.

MOQ & Sample Time
Our MOQ for sunglasses is:
- Regular PC frames: 1200 pcs per model
- TR90 / metal: 1200–2400 pcs depending on color & mold
- Customized colors: negotiable
Sample time is usually 7–12 days. During busy seasons it may be slightly longer, but we will always inform you honestly.
