Kids Eyewear Wholesale

Kids eyewear may look simple, colorful, and playful, but from the manufacturer’s side, making frames for children involves more responsibility than almost any other eyewear category we produce. Children have softer skin, smaller faces, more sensitive noses, and a habit of dropping, bending, or chewing their glasses. This is why our workers treat kids’ eyewear as a “special-care product” even though it looks like a toy to outsiders.

Why Kids Eyewear Requires Extra Care

When we produce sunglasses or reading glasses for adults, we focus on polishing, diopter accuracy, or lens quality. But when producing kids eyewear, we have an additional list in our heads:

  • avoid sharp edges
  • use non-toxic materials
  • make frames lightweight
  • ensure temples do not press the ear
  • avoid strong chemical smell
  • no small decorations that may fall off

Some customers ask why kids glasses sometimes cost more than simple adult sunglasses. The answer is easy: kids eyewear requires higher safety standards and more careful QC.

Kids Eyewear Types We Manufacture

Our factory produces many kids eyewear styles, including:

  • kids sunglasses
  • kids reading glasses
  • kids fashion frames
  • kids TR90 flexible frames
  • bright-color plastic frames
  • toy-style round and heart-shaped frames

Kids frames usually have more colors than adult frames. It is common for one model to have:

  • 8–20 colors
  • glitter options
  • transparent versions
  • gradient color versions

Workers always say kids eyewear looks cheerful, but preparing all colors is serious work.

Color Matching Is Always a Challenge

Kids eyewear requires bright colors. But bright colors are very sensitive to small differences. Injection color changes with just a few degrees of temperature shift. Workers often stand near windows to compare colors under natural light.

Neon pink and neon green are the hardest colors. Frames must look cheerful, not dull. So QC checks them at least twice: once after injection, once after polishing.

Safety Standards for Children’s Frames

Kids eyewear must pass several internal safety checks:

  • edge smoothing check
  • bend test
  • temple flexibility
  • frame smell test
  • impact resistance

Workers often add an extra step on their own: they gently press the nose pad area to ensure it won’t hurt a child’s face. This is not required by any official standard, but the workers insist on doing it.

Materials We Use for Kids Frames

Kids frames are usually made from:

  • PC
  • TR90
  • PP
  • rubber-coated materials

TR90 is the most popular because it is flexible and light. But rubber-coated styles are also common because they feel soft on the skin.

Comfort Testing (Kids Move A Lot)

Kids jump, run, bend, twist— so their glasses need extra flexibility. Workers test frames by bending the temples and shaking the frame lightly to see if any parts are loose.

Sometimes workers say: “If I can’t break it easily, the kid won’t break it easily.”

Assembly Is Slower for Kids Frames

Because the frames are smaller, workers must be more careful with:

  • lens placement
  • frame curvature
  • hinge movement

Tiny defects are more noticeable on kids frames, especially on bright colors. So assembly lines move slower than adult sunglasses or sports eyewear.

Packing Kids Eyewear

Packing must avoid scratching the bright colors. We pack:

  • individual polybag
  • color separation during packing
  • strong carton for mixed orders

Some markets require cute packaging. We can follow customer designs easily.
