Certificates & Global Compliance
Eyewear regulations differ from market to market. Because we export to the US, EU, UK, Japan, Australia, China and many other regions, we follow multiple standards depending on customer requirements. Below is a full overview of international standards, explained based on our real production and QC workflow in Wenzhou.

CE & EN ISO 12312-1 (Europe)
CE covers UV protection, optical clarity, mechanical strength, material safety and surface quality. EN ISO 12312-1 extends additional requirements for sunglasses.
- UV400
- optical clarity
- impact resistance
- hinge fatigue
- material safety
ANSI Z80.3 (USA Sunglasses)
ANSI Z80.3 applies to sunglasses in the US market, separate from ANSI Z87.1 (industrial safety eyewear). Mainly checks optical quality, UV, and mechanical durability.

FDA (USA)
Reading glasses and sunglasses imported into the United States must be registered with the FDA. We provide:
- manufacturer information
- product category info
- drop-ball test data
UKCA (United Kingdom)
After Brexit, the UK launched UKCA to replace CE. Most requirements are similar to CE, but documentation must follow UK format.

AS/NZS 1067 (Australia & New Zealand)
Australia has strict UV rules because of its harsh sunlight. AS/NZS 1067 focuses on:
- UVR transmission
- lens category labeling (0–4)
- optical quality
ISO 12312-1 (International Standard)
This is the global recommended standard for sunglasses and is often used by international brands. It aligns closely with CE requirements.

JIS T 8141 (Japan)
Japan’s eyewear standard is stricter in visual quality and surface finish than most other regions. Our QC always takes special care for Japan orders.
UV Testing (UV400)
Used across all major standards. Our UV machines test every batch.
Drop-Ball Test
Required for FDA, CE and many international markets.
