Safety Glasses Wholesale
Safety glasses may look simple compared to sunglasses or sports eyewear, but from a manufacturing point of view, safety glasses require stronger materials, stricter testing, and more stable mold accuracy. In our factory, safety glasses are treated very seriously because they are designed to protect the user’s eyes directly. Below is a realistic explanation of how we produce safety glasses in our mid-sized Wenzhou workshop.

Why Making Safety Glasses Is Different
Safety glasses require a different mindset. Workers know these glasses are not for fashion. Each piece must pass impact tests, bending tests, and clarity tests. Small defects cannot be ignored because these glasses are used in workshops, labs, construction sites, and factories.
We are not a giant factory, but our workers take safety eyewear seriously. Some of them even say: “These glasses protect people, so be strict.”

Types of Safety Glasses We Produce
We manufacture several styles of safety eyewear:
- basic clear safety glasses
- impact-resistant safety glasses
- wrap-around safety protectors
- laboratory protective eyewear
- anti-fog safety glasses
- tinted safety glasses for outdoor work
- kids protective eyewear (for school workshops)
These may not look complicated at first glance, but making them consistent batch after batch requires attention to small details.

Material Requirements
Safety glasses are usually made from:
- PC (polycarbonate) — for impact resistance
- TPR rubber for nose pads
- PP or PC temples
PC is the most important material. It’s strong, durable, and protects against impact. But PC is also sensitive to injection temperature— if the temperature is slightly off, frames may become too soft or too brittle. Workers adjust settings based on experience, often checking the first few hundred pieces carefully.
Impact & Bending Tests
Safety glasses must pass several tests:
- impact resistance test
- bending test
- temple flexibility test
- lens clarity check
- scratch resistance test (optional)
Our QC often repeats impact tests at different times of the day because temperature affects PC flexibility. Sometimes QC complains the frames are “too hard” in the morning but “just right” by afternoon. This is the reality of working with PC materials.

Assembly & Lens Fitting
Safety glasses often have one-piece lenses or wide wrap-around lenses. The fitting process includes:
- checking curvature
- aligning lens and frame grooves
- tightness adjustment
- temple fitting
Wide lenses show defects more clearly, so workers clean and inspect them carefully during assembly. Even small scratches become obvious, so QC checks many times during production.
Mold Accuracy Matters a Lot
Unlike sunglasses, safety glasses depend heavily on mold accuracy. If the left and right angles are off even 1–2 degrees, users feel uncomfortable. Workers often hold frames up to the light to check symmetry before assembly.
Every few months, we maintain our molds because safety glasses cannot rely on “almost correct” shapes. Consistency is the most important thing.

Anti-Fog Coating
Some safety glasses require anti-fog coating. This coating reacts to moisture and helps maintain clear vision. The challenge is consistency— humidity can affect the coating results. On rainy days, QC usually checks anti-fog performance twice.
Packing Method
Safety glasses packing usually includes:
- individual polybag
- optional inner box
- master carton with fixed quantity
Clear lenses need extra protection because scratches show very easily. QC usually checks them under stronger light before sealing the cartons.

MOQ & Sample Time
Our MOQ for safety glasses:
- basic PC safety glasses: 1200 pcs per model
- anti-fog / special colors: 1200–2400 pcs per model
Sample time is typically 7–12 days depending on coating and lens type.
