Our QC Process
Every pair of eyewear that leaves our factory goes through multiple checks. We are not a perfect factory—no factory is—but we take QC seriously because small details decide whether customers trust us or not. Below is how we check reading glasses, sunglasses, sports eyewear, safety glasses, photochromic models, and kids/party items.

Why QC Matters to Us
After many years in this industry, we learned that most problems do not come from “big mistakes” but from small things: a slightly loose hinge, a lens with tiny scratches, a wrong diopter, a color shade difference, poor tension, or cartons that collapse during shipping.
Workers here know the rule: “If you see a problem, you stop the batch and fix it.” It sounds simple, but this habit saves a lot of trouble.

Step 1 — Incoming Material Check
When materials arrive—frames, temples, lenses, screws—our workers check them quickly, but carefully. Incoming QC includes:
- color shade consistency
- frame straightness
- lens clarity and scratch test
- screw size accuracy
- hinge flexibility
Sometimes suppliers send us “almost OK” items and expect us to accept them. We don’t. Because once we use bad material, the whole batch becomes risky.
If the material is unacceptable, we send it back immediately. No debate. Suppliers know our style already.

Step 2 — In-Production Check
During production, QC walks between lines checking items randomly. Not too strict, not too relaxed.
Here are typical checks:
- Frame alignment
- Hinge movement smoothness
- Lens-fitting pressure
- Surface polishing
- Logo position and clarity
Sometimes a worker rushes because they want to finish early. Then QC silently places the item aside. The worker sees it, laughs, and says, “Okay, okay, I fix it.” Real factories run on this type of communication.
Step 3 — Category-Specific QC
Because we make many types of eyewear, each category has its own QC focus.
Reading Glasses
- diopter accuracy test (+1.00 / +1.50 / +3.00 etc.)
- lens center alignment
- distortion check
- tension and comfort
Workers sometimes joke that reading glasses QC is like “checking homework.” Because it’s repetitive but must be precise.
Sunglasses
- UV400 test
- lens color and shading
- surface scratch examination
- polarization test (if polarized)
Summer orders always make the QC table full. Especially black frames—customers love black frames.
Sports Eyewear
- frame flexibility test
- curve accuracy (sports eyewear requires special fitting)
- impact feel check
Sports frames often require trimming before QC passes them. If trimming is not good, QC sends them back immediately.
Safety Glasses
- impact level check (basic, not certification-level)
- frame straightness
- lens clarity
- side-shield alignment
For certified PPE, we always confirm requirements clearly with customers (before producing anything). This avoids misunderstandings.
Photochromic Models
- sunlight test (darkening speed)
- recovery speed test (return to clear)
- color uniformity
This QC depends on weather. Workers sometimes stand outside holding lenses toward the sun and arguing, “This one changes faster,” “No, you’re holding too close,” “Wait five minutes.” It looks funny but it’s necessary.
Kids / Party / Pet Models
- small-part safety
- surface smoothness
- flexibility test
- color consistency
These items look simple but usually have many SKUs, so QC needs extra patience.

Step 4 — Final Assembly Check
Before packing, QC checks:
- tightness of screws
- lenses properly seated
- hinge movement
- overall shape and cleanliness
If one item fails, we check the whole group again. No shortcuts.
Step 5 — Packing QC
Packing QC includes:
- checking polybag condition
- verifying barcodes
- testing carton strength
- drop test (sometimes)
The packing area gets messy during rush seasons. Cartons stack high, workers move fast, and someone always shouts “Don’t seal this one! QC hasn’t checked it!”

Step 6 — Before Shipping
Before the goods leave the factory, the supervisor does a final walk-around check:
- cartons labeled correctly
- the right quantity per pallet
- shipping marks clear
If something looks suspicious, we don’t ship until we fix it. Shipping mistakes are more painful than production mistakes.

Honest Note About QC
We are not perfect. Sometimes QC finds problems. Sometimes workers find problems earlier than QC. Sometimes we remake certain parts. This is normal for a real factory.
But one thing we never do: we never ship goods with known defects. We prefer delay to risk.
